A day of Reflection

Okay, so Friday March 27 at approx 6:30 am is exactly two years from Torie's open Heart Surgery. This day always brings a day of reflection for me. I remember how far Torie has come, how much she has overcome. She is a true fighter! Just like the other babies and children with heart defects. She is a spirited child who loves to giggle and make you giggle with her! This spring not only brought the first snow she has ever played in, it also brought her first fishing trip. Both were a success, lol. As my family moves forward getting ready to plan a 3rd birthday party(already??), we will continue to bring awareness for Congenital Heart Defects. Next week, I will be adding new pictures.

1st time we were together...it only took 10 freaking hours before they would let me hold her.
March 27, 2007.... words cannot explain the fear that grips your sole when this is your baby.
Torie's first snow. She had a grand time....and bronchitis for 2 wks!

Torie's first fishing trip. She was not too sure about it after she came home, lol.

Torie and Paul. Truly Daddy's little girl!
Now that you have read this, go love on your children. never take the next day for granted.

Miss Kacie

This is Miss Kacie. She and I have trained Martial Arts together for many years, probably about 8 years now. We hung out at a local park just having fun and taking pictures. Kacie is a freshman in high school and a 3rd degree Black Belt. yes, I will add photos later of Miss Kacie showing off some of her amazing kicks and just kicking butt! She is currently the State Champion in her division.
